Re: Ibex
voor het gemak:
The Ibex has been around since 1988, based entirely on Land Rover (Defender) 90 or 110 running gear and utilising some interior fittings such as dash and seats – the chassis and body, however, are completely Foers' own. The chassis is constructed of RHS (rectangular hollow section) British steel formed into a lattice section, likewise the body frame section, including the integral roll-over structure. The looks are strictly functional but pleasant for all that, an excellent example of what a sympathetic eye for line can achieve with basically flat panels. An example for the Mercedes G-Wagen styling department perhaps ?"
"John Foers IS Ibex. He is no mass-market main player but a name well known amongst those who understand the off-road vehicle scene. Ibex shares with a very few others (Haflinger and the Land Rover 101 spring immediately to mind) an acceptance and stature within 4x4 circles way beyond what the few numbers produced and used actually warrant."
