range rover 4.6 hse '95 versnellingsbak

Ik zie bij te koop staande range rover in advertenties nogal eens staan 'met nieuwe versnellingsbak' of 'pas gereviseerde versnellingsbak' staan.
Heeft iemand ervaring met zo'n auto?
Is de versnellingsbak zo gevoelig dan?
Als ik bij een handelaar ga kijken, hoe weet ik dan of de bak nog goed is? of is het simpelweg kapot of niet kapot?
Is zo'n bak reviseren erg kostbaar?
