Ik kwam op een ander forum het volgende bericht tegen:

For $10,000 AUD you get the Land Rover, a comprehensive tool box, spare parts, 24/7 Australia wide roadside assist, workshop manual, fluro leadlight, 20 litre water container and a 4WD touring atlas.

The Land Rover comes with a Roadworthy Certificate (MOT equivalent) and registration. it is powered by a 6cyl Holden petrol motor (about 3 litre cap) with a new double barrel carby, extractors and sports intake manifold (so it's got lots of VROOOM). This is coupled to the SIII gearbox with a Fairey Over Drive unit.

I will buy the car back for $5,000 AUD at anytime till 12 months after purchase. There is a sliding scale for major damage, but minor damage doesn't matter. The vehicle is located in Melbourne, Australia.

I can also procure and prepare any Land Rover of your choice to be ready for your trip down under.

Als 'ie er een stuk of wat heeft, dan wordt het echt leuk.
Is net zoiets als roeibootjes verhuren...... ze komen meestal vanzelf weer terug

De prijs voor een goede Series 3 in Australie ligt rond de 7000 AUD (4100 Euro).
Je hebt dan (meestal) een harde auto.

Mijn Series 3 petrol is medio volgend jaar te koop voor 4000 Euro (versnellingsbak en motor zijn net gereviseerd, heeft een extra tank, nieuwe veren en bijna nieuwe banden + 18 ltr. Waeco koelkastje voor het bier).
