GPS Greenlaning Event in Polen
Geplaatst: di 16 jan 2007, 01:52
We'd love to see some Dutch Landrover enthusiasts at our next 'organised' meeting. Just 100 kms east of Berlin.
There is no charge for taking part and it would be a great introduction to the many greenlanes and beauty of this part of Poland.
Here are some details:
Weekend Greenlaning GPS Event in Lubuskie, Poland
3rd/4th February 2007
Here is the outline program:
Several days before the hunt
Participants are emailed the full set of GPS coordinates and clues.
Saturday
Participants spend the Saturday locating independently a set number of GPS points and finding the hidden cache. As this is an individual activity you can start and finish the hunt whenever you like and take as long as you like to complete the task. To take part in the hunt you will need:
- to do some planning of routes prior to the hunt.
- a Land Rover!
- to own or borrow a GPS unit.
- walking shoes or boots and warm and wet weather clothing.
The task is to get to and locate as many of the various GPS points as possible. As well as locating the stash at each point participants will need to solve a clue, and actually find the hidden and disguised treasure trove containing a rubber stamp. When this is found the stamp must be added to scavenger hunt forms and the cache replaced exactly as found.
The object is to find as many caches as possible and at the same time do some greenlaning and see some of Poland.
Sunday Morning/Early Afternoon
A gentle non-damaging greenlane drive suitable for all 4x4 cars and drivers of all levels for all those interested.
---
Contact us to take part in this event, and to receive full details of location and GPS points by email.
We can of course provide you with details of different guest houses and hotels in the area should you wish.

Please ask either here if you have any general questions or comments to make
