Greetings from Poland!

I just wanted to say that if you are ever in Poland do make with contact us! We are a small group of Land Rover owners only 30 minutes or so from the German border and always happy to meet other Landrover enthusiasts. Welcome "het landrover prikbord" nice people from Poland.
I think 99,9% of the "prikkers" read, write and speak english, so its no problem if you write in english. It is only a bit of a shame you can't read all the good things that go on here.
I'm going to have a look at your site now, and I'm going to put Poland on my places to go list. I here there is some good off-roading there.

Yes, Poland is great for anyone with a Land Rover. Lots of unsurfaced roads, green lanes and tracks through the forest. Poland is a largely unspoilt and uncrowded country. Most of our club also speak some English. So communication shouldn't be a problem if you decide to pay us a visit

Not that many Series around these parts. Lots of 90s/110s/Discoverys/Range Rover Classics. One of us has a Camel Trophy 90

I vistited Danzig a couple of months ago. And had some wild bear ('everzwijn' for us Dutchy's). I must admit it was very good. The only 'problem' was that just the starter of our dinner was about three times as much as an entire dinner over here in Holland
It took us about four hours to get to the desert ...

Seen a lot over there. And wondered a lot.
But I've seen no Land Rover during these two days... So there's still a lot to explore for your club

It's not so expensive here and 1 euro gets you 4 zloties. Get to Berlin and we're about one hour further east. Three or four hours in a series Land Rover

Yes, very large meal servings here. I have put on 20 kgs in the seven years I have been here

I have been in Poland a lot, I am a lorry-driver, my former employer has an freight-office in Poland.
My 110 runs with an 2,5D, so most petrol engined series go faster than I do.
I live in the northen part of The Netherlands, about 1 hour from the German border, so Berlin is relatively easy-going for me.(easy but not fast ).
You know we have some Polish members in the "landrover club Holland" (lrch),
they run a landrover workshop called WiWo 4x4 in Mijdrecht.

wild bear or wild boar !?!

In 2005 me and my girlfriend have been on vacation in Poland with our 88" serie3. Travelled from Szczecin along the shore to Gdansk. Then down to Warsawa and Kraków.

For what we have seen Poland is a great country. A shame I didn't know about your group, we would have liked to meet somewhere and perhaps drive some tracks. Another day..........

Yes, next time. Szczecin is about 100 kms north of us. My house is almost exactly 100 east of Berlin.

Some great tracks here. You can sometimes travel hours without seeing anyone, except an occasional mushroom picker.

And yes, even the best Polish roads are usually pretty bumpy!

Lots of cycle paths here too ...

And lots more being constructed.

The international e11 cycle path runs right through this part of Poland from Berlin (I think) through Frankfurt Oder and on to to Krakow.

Sorry, yes, my name is Simon

I must say that I am impressed by the amount of Land Rover enthusiasts using this board! It's just a pity (for me!) that my Dutch language skills are not more advanced. I spent a year in Nijmegen when I was doing postgraduate studies, but that was long ago now and I found that I could use English with almost everyone, anyway.
